As part of its annual meeting with its European distribution network, held at the end of January 2026 in Finland under the slogan ‘Stronger Together’, Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks unveiled its latest innovation: FleetVSiON, an advanced telematics platform that promises to transform the way forklift fleets are managed in industrial environments.

The event, which took place at the renovated Logisnext Europe factory in Järvenpää, served not only as a technological showcase but also as a space for collaboration between the brand and its European distributors, including ULMA Lifting Solutions, a strategic partner in the Spanish market.

What is FleetVSiON from Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks?

FleetVSiON connects each forklift to the cloud, allowing real-time access to key data such as hours of use, RFID access, recorded impacts, technical alerts and GPS location. This all-in-one solution provides complete control over the safety, operational availability and costs associated with each machine.

"Connectivity is no longer an option; it has become an operational necessity. With FleetVSiON, Mitsubishi provides fleet managers with a powerful and flexible tool that improves efficiency in every shift," said one of the heads of innovation at Logisnext Group, the parent company of Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks, during the presentation.

What are the advantages of FleetVSiON?

The telematics box connects to the forklift's display, showing important information as well as reminders and instructions for performing safety checks before starting work. These pre-shift checks are carried out via the display, guiding the driver step by step through a digital checklist to ensure that everything is safe before using the forklift truck. If a serious problem is detected, the system can prevent the machine from operating, protecting both personnel and equipment.

All data from the electric forklift, such as its usage, who has accessed it, any impacts or errors, and its location, is collected by the telematics unit. This information is sent wirelessly to a secure cloud platform using Microsoft Azure IoT technology. Fleet managers and service teams can then view detailed reports and data online, facilitating maintenance, compliance checks and better decision-making. FleetVSiON can also connect to the customer's existing IT systems via a standard API, enabling easy integration and flexibility.

In short, it offers logistics and warehouse teams:

  • Safer working conditions

  • More efficient working conditions

  • Digital control and real-time access control

At ULMA Lifting Solutions, we particularly value this solution's ability to integrate with each customer's own systems, as well as its scalability, which can be adapted to different levels of fleet digitisation.

This launch underscores Mitsubishi's commitment to connected solutions and reinforces ULMA's position as a supplier of advanced technology in the field of industrial handling.
